The diagnosis may explain a lifetime

Relief, grief, anger and recognition can arrive together.

A diagnosis or new understanding later in life can make the past look completely different. You may finally have language for exhaustion, sensory overload, inconsistency, masking, relationships or the constant work of appearing fine. That recognition can be deeply relieving—and it can bring grief for the support you did not receive.

Neurodivergent-affirming counselling does not treat your brain as a problem to correct. The work can help you understand your patterns, reduce shame, identify accommodations, make boundaries more usable and decide what a less masked life could look like.

Individual counselling

Support shaped around the way you actually function.

Masking and identity

Explore who you are beneath years of adapting, pleasing, overpreparing or trying to perform a more acceptable version of yourself.

Burnout and nervous-system overload

Understand the relationship between executive demand, sensory pressure, responsibility and the cycles of pushing through and crashing.

Relationships and communication

Find clearer language for needs, boundaries, misunderstanding, rejection sensitivity and the invisible labour you may be carrying.

Practical accommodations

Develop strategies that fit your brain and circumstances rather than adding another rigid system that you are expected to maintain perfectly.

The ADHD women's circle

A grassroots community built from lived recognition.

Meg has built a grassroots community of more than 40 women who were diagnosed with ADHD or came to understand their neurodivergence later in life. The circle creates space to compare experiences, learn from one another and replace the question “What is wrong with me?” with a more useful understanding of what has been happening.

The group is not a substitute for individual clinical care or crisis support. It is a facilitated community space grounded in respect, privacy, shared learning and practical connection. New group opportunities are offered as dates and capacity allow.

  • Shared language for late diagnosis and masking
  • Connection with women who recognise the less-visible experience
  • Practical discussion of work, relationships, overwhelm and self-advocacy
  • A strengths-based and neurodivergent-affirming environment
