Why this approach works

Words matter. So does what your body is doing while you say them.

Talking helps—being understood, making sense of things, saying the unsayable out loud. But if the feeling lands in your body before it reaches language, words alone leave a lot on the floor. Sessions work with both: some are mostly talk, some are mostly body, and the balance follows what the moment needs.

A social worker also sees the whole picture, not just the symptom—your relationships, pressures and circumstances, not only what is happening inside you. Practical as well as emotional, strengths-based rather than pathologising, and backed by accreditation and a professional code of ethics.

Twenty years of clinical depth means very little turns up that has not been met before, from everyday overwhelm through to bipolar, clinical depression and addiction—worked alongside your GP or psychiatrist where that is right, not handed back to a waitlist.

Is this you

You might recognise some of this.

If any of that landed, you are in the right place.

About

Meg Bonetti

Megan Bonetti · Founder and principal practitioner  ·  Verified AASW profile  ·  Telehealth Australia wide

Meg has spent more than twenty years in social work, across community programs, senior leadership, and clinical practice, before building MEB Counselling from a small island in the Torres Strait. That lived understanding of distance and limited local services shapes her work with rural, remote and regional clients. She provides online counselling right across Australia, so location is never the reason someone goes without good support.

Her approach is warm, direct, and very hard to shock. There is clinical depth for the serious end of things, and steadiness for the ordinary, exhausting, human middle. Expect plain language, no jargon, and no pretending life is tidier than it is.
